*SALT*

Erm..no, not that kind of salt..
Yep, that SALT!
**Spoiler Alert**    Well, I saw Salt yesterday. Here's a brief plot:  As a  CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt's efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: "Who is Salt?"

Okay I have mixed reactions about the movie.. Firstly, I loved the stunts...they were really awesome. But I suppose in a Jolie film thats expected (remember Tomb Raider and Wanted?? ) but still, I enjoyed them. Secondly, although there was quite a lot of violence in the film, it was  the sophisticated sort  and not like Ghajini (random, I know, but my dad pointed that out and it true I suppose! ). Thirdly, I loved the different looks she's given in the movie! She goes from blonde to brunette and then disguises herself as a boy! more of a young man, really.  And in one scene she has this beaten up, tortured look...very chilling! Some scenes really shocked me...like the one in which they killed Salt's hubby! Its was awful! Okay, so what are the low points? Basically, its just that during the movie, you have no bloody clue, what Salt's trying to achieve! I kept on asking myself "why is  she doing that, what does she want? Omg! is she actually a Russian spy???" Fine, so maybe the plan was to keep the audience guessing, right? But, hello! Provide us with answers please or atleast hints! So, I think the script needed some changes. Even the end was inconclusive....According to me, Salt is neither on America's side, nor on Russia's side. So who's side is she on? Uhhmm..maybe on the side of good?! Dunno, really!
Despite all these things, I found the movie quite gripping..Heck, my family and I went to watch the late night show, and none of us dozed off (although my mom and bro both were VERY sleepy!) I guess the basic thing is that USA vs. Russia still sells! Have any of you guys watched it? Please comment! I would love to know what you guys thought of the movie!

:/

The nose crinkle
Sigh! Its not been a very nice day today, im afraid! Firstly, there was this competition I was supposed to go for on Monday, and I had been working pretty hard on it. It was supposed to be a Cinematic Appreciation of the film Omkara (Its been adapted from Shakespeare's Othello). But today I got to know that someone else would be going instead of me! Sad part is, they didnt hear us out one after another...they just took a decision without an audition. Also, I had done this other thing that I thought would be appreciated (by some teacher), but I got a "nose crinkle" (not quite as much as the one in the pic!). She didnt really criticise it or anything, just....It wasnt the reaction I expected :/

Odd, but cute! No idea what that is, though!
Aww! Strange in a cool way!

Wow, this guy's quite serious...

What say, guys?? which one's the best??

Some Stuff!!

Hey all!! Whats up? My life is pretty much the same! Thats the way my life is! Not complaining though, coz whenever you want more flavour in the chicken curry, life serves you over spiced curry!  You know??Any hoo! Just the other day, I realised that my phone had some really cool edit options! I had always wondered what the logo with the scissor meant, now I know that it takes you to the editing application. Its no picassa ofcourse, but its awesome for time-pass :)
A classic pic taken in the loo! hahaha :D

Ramblings

OKAY, sorry for not blogging for sooo long! But I've just been so tired lately! Just as i had suspected, I got sucked in to the vortex of school life the day it started! Before I could even say "Oh crap! school's started", I was told to write a play for our class assembly(on the bharat bandh) and prepare for a book discussion competion scheduled for monday (today). The competion was good, but we  didn't win anything! Maybe if they had had a "third position" to award, we might've  won! Aargh! Shit man! It would have been so cool if i had won something and I would have felt so awesome!  I've been searching for that sense of euphoria EVERYWHERE..but  it seems out of my reach, you know? Like, it's There but at the same time its not. I know, im a good student, my board results were awesome and i topped my school. The people who'll read this will probably be annoyed "Kya hai yaar? Top kiya hai, phir bhi khush nahi hai?"  But Im not saying Im not happy, Im just saying im not euphoric! Its that intense happiness that gushes from inside and you just feel great! you know what im talking about, right? If it doesnt come then what can i do?? Maybe Im not seeking appreciation in academics? humph! such tough questions!
Okay, anyway i gtg, ive got a leg cramp and so i must roll about in pain now! bye!
